What you’ll do:
The electrical project engineer's responsibilities include reviewing all engineering design plans, performing calculations, designing and constructing electrical systems and their components, liaising with other engineers, and maintaining relationships with clients, vendors, and other stakeholders. This position would require reading of technical drawings, understanding of technical aspects of Control and Distribution Components with related applications of low voltage & medium voltage products.
- Analyzing technical drawings, interpreting single line drawings & specifications, and determining the electrical requirements of a given project.
- Liaising with other engineers and clients to ensure overall customer satisfaction.
- Generate user manuals of electrical gear for O&M and Submittals for our Customers by understanding customer requirements and interpreting electrical drawings.
- Preparing, scheduling, coordinating, and monitoring assigned engineering projects.
- Collect and analyze project information to create status reports and recommend future actions.
- Interacting with project engineers, interpreting their needs and requirements, and incorporating the same in the jobs.
- Use electronic tools and applications to generate customer documentation, primarily Submittals and O&Ms.
- Managing and monitoring all assigned electrical projects.
- Develop a healthy working relationship with the US team for effective problem resolution and guidance.
- Maintaining and updating detailed and accurate reports of electrical projects
- Apply standard work, error proofing, and application knowledge to drive continuous improvement.
- Maintains and updates internal reference materials.
- Update all the process trackers in real-time to give a better insight into the workload.
- Provide inputs to product marketing and engineering regarding updates of the catalog information, renewal parts information, technical drawings, and any other technical documentation found on the website.
- Remaining up to date with the latest technologies and developments in the electrical engineering sector
Qualifications:
- Graduate in Engineering Electrical
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in Switchgear Electrical Project Engineer, Electrical Engineer
Skills:
- Ability to read and understand technical single line drawings.
- Ability to interpret customer specifications, electrical and mechanical drawings.
- Microsoft office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), Adobe expert, Bid Manager, Enovia, Vista, SharePoint etc.
- Familiarity with CAD software such as Autodesk Inventor 3D CAD, Free CAD, and Fusion 360°
- Excellent technical and researching skills.
- A team player as well as able to work independently with minimal direction."
