Position Summary
This role is intended to provide technical delivery of the analysis of energy, other utilities, control and sustainability data in the Energy Bureau for clients in APMEA.
The Energy Analysts will be responsible for delivering value to customers by delivering technical work for clients.These include delivering contractual monitoring reports, creating and executing measurement and verification plans, performing custom data analysis for a variety of time-series sets of data, including interval utility data, building automation system trend data, and other logged data series. In addition, the role is responsible for identifying trends in system behaviour and evaluating performance over time. The key outcome of this reporting and analysis will be to drive implementation of cost savings opportunities across the client base.
The position requires a broad and extensive understanding of energy concepts such as tariffs, measurement metrics, energy efficiency solutions, load shifting and Active Energy Management. The role will require the applicant to be comfortable working with large data sets and leveraging a suit of different software platforms to visualise data to the benefit of clients. Problem solving skills will be key to the position and the role will require the applicant to work closely with multiple subject matter experts within Schneider Electric and client organisations to deliver our services effectively.

Required Job Related Experience
Essential:
Significant understanding of building/industrial energy consuming systems and controls
Deep understanding of data management and analysis techniques
Excellent verbal and written communication skills including, but not limited to, the ability to influence and persuade internal and external Customers, listen effectively, and solicit input from others.
Advanced ability to use Microsoft Office programs including but not limited to, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
Excellent organizational skills including, but not limited to, the ability to handle multiple demands and assignments, the ability to prioritize tasks effectively and efficiently, and the ability to manage resource procurement and utilization
Ability to work as part of a global team, including regular early or late meetings
Demonstrated ability to learn various online software platforms

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Energy Performance
·Perform custom data analysis for a variety of time-series sets of data, including interval utility data, building automation system trend data, and other logged data series.
·Create reports summarising performance targeted to both internal teams and customers.
·Perform remote analysis of building automation system operation.
·Create custom alarming algorithms for identifying savings opportunities.
·Evaluate value of alarms for clients:
oRespond to high priority energy alarms by notifying end user.
oAddress lower priority alarms and eliminate nuisance alarms.
·Periodically evaluate performance of systems for improvement opportunities.
·Create and report on savings opportunities to clients
·Drive implementation of opportunities through our clients organisations
·Engage client organisations to better utilise data in decision making
Measurement & Verification
·Deliver measurement & verification (M&V) reports to comply with an M&V plan
·Manage data collection required for M&V reporting
·Analyse data and identify deviations from expected performance
·Evaluate project risk and communicate that risk to project team and leaders.
·Evaluate project performance relative to defined goals.
General
·Support business unit with ad-hoc technical activities relating to the analysis of interval data
·Other duties as assigned
Education and Qualification Requirements
Tertiary qualifications in engineering, data science, resource efficiency, sustainability or similar, or appropriate technical discipline.
Proven experience in analytics and energy efficiency/sustainability
