Agronomist Senior Manager/Manager
About the role:
The Agronomist Manager/Senior Manager will be responsible for analyzing agricultural data, collaborating with farmers and stakeholders to improve crop yield, conducting field demonstrations, and collaborating with research institutions to optimize corn varieties. They will also be involved in educating farmers on best practices, identifying grower issues, and conducting farmer meetings to promote company interest.
Responsibilities :
- Analyze and interpret agricultural data to develop innovative farming practices and improve crop yield.
- Collaborate with farmers, suppliers, and other stakeholders to develop proper supply chain for procurement of corn from domestic market.
- Establish field demonstrations and trials to ensure better and functional yield.
- Collaborate with research institutions and industry partners to conduct trials and experiments aimed at optimizing corn varieties and production methods
- Educate and train farmers on best agricultural practices to assist in enhancing their profitability by increasing yield/quality and reducing cultivation expenses.
- Identify growers' problems in growing corn crops and provide innovative solutions.
- Conduct farmers' meetings to promote company's interest and increase domestic contract growers
Qualifications:
- Bachelors in Agriculture; Postgraduate in Agronomy/Plant Pathology/Agricultural Entomology/Agricultural Chemistry/Soil Science may be advantageous.
- Proven experience (5-8 Years) as an Agronomist with a focus on crop cultivation and agricultural practices.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to interpret data and develop innovative solutions.
- Ability to work independently and effectively manage projects and deadlines.
- Experience in introducing new products to the market.
- Networking with government agricultural officers, agricultural research institutes, agricultural universities.
- Familiarity with developed market food safety standards would be advantageous.
- Knowledge of environmental and safety regulations in the agricultural industry.
