Job description

The Senior ManagerGeneral Merchandising will manage Non-Food Category Management across Home, Electronics, Appliances, Apparel, Mobile, IT accessories & ensure category penetration, growth & buyer experience

- Growth: Own a Category P&L, Selection, Assortment to drive exponential revenue growth and margins

- Selection: Responsible for Sourcing/ Buying, merchandising, assortment planning to ensure that DealShare has leadership position in identified segments. You should have an eye for identifying products, offers and negotiating the best rates

- Category Operations: Oversee merchandising operations, Inbound planning, Catalogue monitoring and margin, Stakeholder Management: Drive growth through Marketing, Operations and CS

- Tracking inventory movement and systematically introducing promotions, sales, price changes, etc.

- Interpreting sales reports and providing guidance on how to improve figures and customer engagement. - Identifying trends and monitoring supply and demand.

Skills & Competency: - Deep domain expertise in the identified category and geographies, are essential for this role

- The role is required to work on deliver on daily numbers, short-term goals and long-term milestones set by business and efficacy. Meeting these milestones would be critical to create success.

- The role needs the individual to be able to solve for a given business problem in sometimes an ambiguous state and with multiple data streams impacting decision making - Strong data driven problem-solving skills, eye for extreme details and process led.

- The role requires the incumbent to work closely and coordinate with the Internal and external teams to create success. She/he should be able to seamlessly navigate these relationship dynamics in a high growth, young, agile business environment.

- Startup Cultural Fit - willingness to learn, to innovate, to take initiative, to think out of the box, hustle, ability to execute

- Ability to lead a team - Strong English Communication verbal and written skills Candidate Profile: The ideal candidate will have significant experience in Retail (Modern Trade / B2B / eComm) or FMCG businesses with focus on deep domain expertise in Buying/Sourcing.

Required: - 6 to 8 years of relevant experience in Sourcing Good to Have: - MBA from a reputed college is necessary

About Dealshare: A fast-growing e-commerce startup, DealShare is a hyperlocal online buying platform for multi-category consumer products focused on the new 'WhatsApp first' India. Our mission is to target the new 500Mn users from non-metro cities and rural market spaces who haven't shopped enough online and are uncomfortable on other platforms. These users are primarily on mobile & social media.
