Job Role:
As the Business Head - Loan Against Property (LAP), you will have complete P&L responsibility for our Loan Against Property business. This pivotal role involves driving business development initiatives, originating LAP transactions, and leading a team responsible for credit assessment, disbursement, and monitoring.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Planning and Goal Setting:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive strategic plan for the Loan Against Property business, outlining clear goals and objectives to drive business growth and profitability.
Business Development - LAP Transactions:
- Lead the origination of LAP transactions, identifying new business opportunities and maintaining relationships with key partners, clients, and stakeholders.
Team Building for LAP Business:
- Build and lead a high-performing team dedicated to Loan Against Property business, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence.
Credit Team Management:
- Oversee the credit team responsible for assessing the creditworthiness of LAP applicants, ensuring adherence to risk management policies.
Disbursement and Monitoring:
- Manage the disbursement process, ensuring timely and accurate processing of loans.
- Implement effective monitoring mechanisms to track loan performance and mitigate potential risks.
Stakeholder Management:
- Build and preserve connections with important partners, clients, and stakeholders to enhance business relationships and explore collaborative opportunities.
Compliance and Policy Adherence:
- Ensure strict adherence to internal and regulatory policies and procedures governing the Loan Against Property segment.
- Implement and monitor compliance measures to mitigate risks and uphold industry standards.
Team Development and Performance:
- Oversee the development, performance, and training of the Loan Against Property staff, ensuring continuous improvement and alignment with business goals.
Market Analysis and Trends Evaluation:
- Monitor consumer opinions, market trends, and competitor activity in the Loan Against Property sector.
- Identify opportunities and challenges, formulating strategies to maintain a competitive edge.
Problem Identification and Resolution:
- Proactively recognize and address any issues, risks, or hazards that might impact the Loan Against Property business.

Qualifications and Experience:
- MBA or equivalent qualification in Finance, Business Management, or a related field.
