JOB PURPOSE:
To lead and motivate a team of high performing individuals that is focused on developing solutions and services that power the world around us , working closely with our customers and dealer partners in Key South Asia Markets (India, Bangladesh & Sri Lanka )
KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
The role is a senior business leader for the electric power business for prime product sales, parts sales, services growth and dealer development for South Asia Region.
The role understands current power generation market, global trends affecting the global energy market and is responsible to design and execute, appropriate commercial strategies to develop product sales, dealer effectiveness, overall segment growth, new product introduction, Sales and operations process improvement.
The position manages a team of professionals where coaching, monitoring, and reviewing work is required as well as training, developing, and mentoring of the team. The incumbent must have demonstrated skills in the following team leadership traits: career development, coaching, communication, empowerment, and fostering an enjoyable work climate.
This position influences senior management (internal and external) to adapt policies, implement regional marketing/sales strategies, hire personnel and modify organizational structure needed for executing strategic priorities for the business.
The incumbent applies product and industry knowledge in support of Caterpillar, dealer and customer expectations and is responsible for to near-term strategic execution within a 0-36-month horizon. The position travels extensively; ~50% of the time.
Skills Required
- Industry knowledge: Knowledge of energy oriented businesses such Data center , large power infrastructure , electric power generation , turnkey energy projects.
- Relationship Management: Knowledge of relationship management techniques; ability to establish and maintain healthy working relationships with clients, vendors, and peers. Previous experience working with dealers/distributors would be beneficial but not mandatory.
- Customer Focus: Ability to understand practices that align customer needs and satisfaction as primary considerations in all business decisions and ability to leverage that information in creating customized customer solutions.
- Commercial Business Development: Knowledge of business development tools, techniques, and approaches; ability to explore and develop potential areas of business growth for the organization. Commercial skills and knowledge in long term framework type agreements.
- Leadership and coaching : Ability to motivate , develop and lead senior professionals
