Job description

Position: Regional Manager.
Location: Mumbai / Kolkata
Reports to: Sales Head.
Supervises: ASM.
Purpose of Job:
- Developing and implementing a business plan for the entire business vertical by elevating distribution to dominant levels.
- Attain the company objectives while managing costs effectively (within the confines of sales and promotion budgets), closely monitoring and emphasizing the enhancement of the Distribution Network.
- Establish stringent commercial controls in the region.
- Foster a skilled and motivated team, instilling a robust emphasis on performance, diligence, and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Developing sales strategies and plans to achieve targets for both existing and new categories in the assigned region, driving the business plan through relevant sales activities, and ensuring the timely and successful attainment of periodic targets through efficient and effective execution. Overseeing the comprehensive management of sales and distribution for existing products while formulating and initiating strategies for the launch of new products by providing leadership to the sales teams. Accountable for external stakeholder management, including distributors, stockiest, retailers, Standalone MT Stores, wholesalers, National / Regional Key Accounts etc., to ensure effective support and customer satisfaction within those channels.
- Leading the entire sales force within the region, this role involves designing distribution and coverage plans for both existing and new product lines. The objective is to ensure the achievement of both bottom and top-line targets for the region. This position is responsible for developing the overall sales strategy for the region, incorporating inputs from market analysis and competition assessments.
- To assume responsibility for delivering regular reports to the management regarding the region, which includes an analysis of product, team, and stakeholder performance. Additionally, this role involves recommending initiatives and providing the necessary support required to achieve the specified targets.
- Create and execute Go-to-Market (GTM) and Sales System models in both Direct and Indirect Distributions to accomplish short and long-term organizational goals related to volume, availability, and market share enhancement. Ensure the effective and efficient utilization of company resources to meet both top and bottom-line objectives.
- Managing internal communication with diverse stakeholders, this role also ensures the unimpeded flow of information. It involves engaging with the marketing function for sales promotion and marketing support, launching new products; coordinating with logistics to ensure product availability; collaborating with finance for the settlement of claims, and liaising with HR for manpower availability and training.
- Collaborating with the finance department to facilitate the collection, ensuring timely settlement of overdue accounts and claims settlements for respective business stake holders.
- Assist the marketing department in identifying new lines of business and products by conducting competitive research, collecting and analyzing market data, and tracking competition to provide essential information.
- His responsibility involves building a robust sales team and ensuring their training and motivation to achieve sales objectives. This encompasses effective sales training, implementation of sales systems, and providing mentorship and coaching to the team.
- To manage various internal and external customers related issues so as to ensure that the business lines are positively impacted.
