Key Responsibilities
- Undertakes analytical, experimental, investigative, and other fact-finding work in support of technology product development
- Captures internal and external client technical requirements to inform technology product development. Identifies solutions and alternative paths.
- Evaluates new technology developments and evolving business requirements to recommend appropriate alternatives and / or enhancements to current systems
- Supports the preparation of communications to customers regarding new and improved technology solutions.
- Work closely with and support Senior Business Analyst on requirements analysis and identify areas where custom code is required to be implemented by the Development teams.
- Design and develop required solution and performing testing of the solution.
- Work closely with development and testing teams to ensure that product requirements / functionality meet customer needs and assist in providing estimates for analysis and development.
- Document the proposed solutions, user stories and acceptance criteria on team Wiki
- Work with testing team on developing automation test scripts.
- Work closely with Business stakeholders to deliver customer specific solutions, including assisting in responding to Clearing Member needs.
Knowledge and Skills
- At least 2 to 4 years of experience in IT as Business Analyst with relevant cross asset knowledge:
- Industry standard back office processing Cash and Security Settlement, Swift reconciliation, and triparty statement (SWIFT MT and MX), messages (confirmation, advices), Collateral Management (colr), Operations (Exception Management and Workflow), Corporate Action, Accounting.
- Wireframing using a collaborative UI/UX tool such as figma.
- Basic understanding of clearing business from margin perspective.
- PL/SQL (Oracle), Preferable ability to develop Java code.
- Understanding of BDD techniques and ability to write BDD features.
- Experience in writing automated acceptance criteria using test tools such as Cucumber etc.
- Good business judgment, knowing when to escalate, who to keep informed to identify appropriate next steps / resolution.
- Ability to identify possible risk and escalate when necessary.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to organise workload to meet various settlement cut off times.
- Ability to put forward constructive feedback on cases and issues.
- Be able to work independently and able to deliver under time constraints.
- Exposure/understanding of Collateral Management desirable.
