Project Management -Drug Discovery Research & Development :
M.Sc / M.Pharm / MBA / Ph.D / Post-doc in pharmaceutical / medicinal chemistry, drug discovery & development with experience technical aspects and candidates should hold an MBA or PMP certification.
Candidates would be responsible for the following tasks:
- Managing drug discovery & development projects from project initiation to all the five phases of project management and ensuring the timely delivery of projects.
- Working closely with senior management, BU heads, scientific heads, team leaders and enabling functions to develop detailed project plans, executing, monitoring and making sure that the projects are delivered within the budget, time and quality during the project lifecycle.
- Ensuring that project deliverables are met through effective coordination of cross functional stakeholders and operational teams with multi-disciplinary activities.
- Developing and managing project dashboard, creating various KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) for monitoring the progress and quality.
- Understanding or identifying the key challenges or proactively identifying project risks and trouble-shooting the challenges or proposing the mitigation strategies to the management for decision making.
- Scheduling scientific and operational team meetings with agenda, taking care of minutes of the meetings and following up with the action items and facilitating cross-functional stake holder meetings as per interdependencies for smooth running of the projects / operations.
Project Management - Drug Discovery Research & Development Candidates would also be responsible for the following tasks:
- Establishing the process of monitoring productivity and bringing efficiency in the system.
- Implementing audit processes, taking care of documentation with compliance and archival of documents etc.
- Identifying, negotiating and managing external activities for supporting drug discovery & development.
- Providing regular inputs on external competitive activities.
- Developing financial modelling and valuation for all assigned projects.
- Maintaining project management data base in conjunction with new updates & regularly monitoring all activities and milestones.
Candidates should possess the following technical and functional Skills:
- Good understanding and technical experience in drug discovery & development as well as Project Management experience in any Pharma or Biotech or CRO company.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills including interpersonal skills to manage multiple projects, team work, collaboration skills and various stakeholders / cross-functional teams.
- Establishing various processes, optimizing processes for effective management and bringing operational excellence. Creating, following SOPs and maintaining compliance as per company policy.
- Proficiency in using PM tools, data analytical tools, MS Office, SAP and other tools / software’s.
