Our journey

We raised $2 mn at an idea stage in December 2019 from Sequoia Capital’s Surge program, and marquee investors like Naveen Tewari (InMobi Group), Kunal Shah (CRED), Shradha Sharma (YourStory) and many more. Post our beta launch ~12 months ago, the company has grown by leaps and bounds:
1000+ investments made; portfolio companies include loved brands like Bewakoof, Third Wave Coffee, The Man Company, 9stacks, Mamagoto, Eat. Fit, SMOOR
Raised $20 mn in August 2021 from GMO (Japan), Alter Global (USA) and others
Launched a $25 mn fund in December 2021

About the Role

Embrace the challenge and reward of the Business Development role, where you will lead our sales efforts, engage with top-level executives, and support companies in raising capital. By staying at the forefront of the Indian debt market, you will gain invaluable experience, keep abreast of the latest trends and developments, and ensure our organization remains competitive and relevant. This role enables you to build and maintain strong relationships with potential clients, propose customized solutions that address their needs, and contribute significantly to our organization's growth.

The position is perfect for experienced professionals with a strong background in analytical, communication, and relationship-building skills, who are eager to make a lasting impact and further their career in the finance industry.

Responsibilities

  • Explain RBF and Klub products to brands
  • Act as a liaison between brands and internal teams to facilitate investments
  • Generate new brand leads, identify founders, and develop a robust top-of-the-funnel for Klub's RBF
  • Present and communicate effectively with CXOs/Founders of mid to late-stage companies; build personal relationships with them
  • Manage sales funnels and work with a team of 3-5 people to achieve sales targets

What Are We Looking For

  • 2-3 years of full-time experience in Business Development or partnerships, preferably within the lending industry
  • A proven track record of liaising with consumer brands
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders
  • Strong ability to build and maintain relationships
  • A product mindset and experience in managing sales funnels
