In this role, you have the opportunity to The Business Development Head (Head of Business Partnerships) is responsible for driving the growth and success of the
company in the digital lending space. This role involves developing and executing a strategic plan to expand the partner/client base, enhance the product portfolio, and achieve AUM, revenue & profitability targets for Trillionloans.
Responsibilities will include
Functional Expertise:
1. Develop and execute a comprehensive digital lending strategy to achieve the company & growth objectives.
2. Identify segments in the market that we can tap into - what product segments, what type of LSPs we can partner with.
3. Build a strong pipeline of potential Partners (Fintechs, other NBFCs, Aggregator platforms)
4. Identify and onboard new partners - fintechs/ LSPs, as well as Aggregator platforms
5. Build and maintain strong relationships with business partners
6. Lead Account management of key strategic accounts (partners); identify, design & grow accounts
7. Monitor the financial performance of the digital lending portfolio to ensure revenue and profitability targets are met
8. Identify and leverage emerging digital lending technologies and trends to stay competitive in the market
9. Prepare and present regular reports to senior management on the digital lending Business Development progress and financial performance
Problem Solving & Leadership:
1. Collaborate with the product development team to introduce new digital lending products and services
2. Assess/ analyse the market to identify white spaces, potential segments
3. Continuously evaluate and enhance existing digital lending offerings to meet customer demands and regulatory requirements
4. Lead and inspire the digital lending Business Development team, providing guidance, training, and support
5. Set clear performance targets and KPIs for the team and monitor their progress
Compliance:
1. Ensure full compliance with regulatory requirements and standards set by the Regulator/ relevant authorities for digital lending
2. Implement risk management strategies to mitigate potential financial and operational risks
To succeed in the role
Impact:
- Developing and executing a strategic plan to expand the partner & business base, enhance the product portfolio, and achieve financial targets in the digital lending business
Challenges & Decisions:
- Identify new LSP/ Fintech partnerships for Digital lending
- Manage and increase portfolio with existing partnerships
- Scale up the lending business (non-BP/non-captive part)
Qualification & Experience (type & industry):
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business administration, or a related field, OR in Technology with Business experience. A master's degree is a definite plus.
- 7-15 years overall experience, with substantial part in core Business development/ Partnerships & Alliances, could be complemented with some Strategy experience; in Banking/NBFC/Fintech domain.
- 3+ years of experience in Digital lending in a high growth setup is a plus
Skills & know-how:
- In-depth knowledge of digital lending products (lending product flow), fintech platforms, and the regulatory landscape in India
- Solid understanding of LOS/ LMS systems
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and digital marketing skills
- Proven experience in Business Development and management within the digital lending sector of the financial industry
- Proficient in data analytics and using relevant software and tools for digital lending & analytics
