We are looking for an experienced and talented UI leader to join our Product Design team. The ideal candidate will have experience driving and leading the user needs and devising intuitive, accessible, and easy-to-use solutions to address them
As a AVP - UI at FanCode your role has three main pillars
- Play a pivotal role in shaping the product's visual identity and user interface. You will own & define the visual language for products in line with the company’s branding and user experience goals.
- Leveraging your extensive design experience and team leadership skills, you will guide a team of talented designers to create captivating and intuitive user interfaces.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, refining design processes, and ensuring that our design output aligns with our company's vision and user expectations.
- Lead and mentor a team of UI designers, providing guidance, feedback, and fostering a collaborative and creative work environment.
- Define, develop and maintain a consistent design language, style guide & interaction/transition paradigms that aligns with the product's branding and user experience goals.
- Own the end-to-end visual design process for the Web (mobile & desktop), Mobile App & TV app, from concept to final implementation.
- Collaborate closely with Product Managers, UX Designers, and Engineers to translate product requirements into exceptional visual design solutions.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, design best practices, and emerging technologies to continually push the boundaries of mobile design.
- Hands-on approach in designing screens that help the visual language & guide designers.
- Conduct design reviews and provide constructive feedback to ensure the team's work meets quality standards and objectives.
- Manage and prioritize design projects, allocate resources effectively, and meet project deadlines.
- Champion user-centeric design principles and advocate for the importance of visual aesthetics in enhancing user satisfaction and engagement.
Your Role
Must Haves:
- Bachelor's degree in Design, Fine Arts, or a related field; Master's degree a plus.
- Minimum of 8 years of professional experience in UI/Visual Design for mobile applications.
- Proven experience in leading and managing design teams, including performance evaluations and professional development.
- Expertise in industry-standard design tools such as Figma, Adobe Creative Suite or similar.
- Strong portfolio showcasing a diverse range of mobile design projects, demonstrating creativity, attention to detail, and a user-centered design approach.
- Solid understanding of design principles, typography, color theory, and visual hierarchy.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to present and articulate design concepts and decisions effectively.
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams and translating complex requirements into intuitive design solutions.
Good to Haves:
- Keen interest in Sports - watching or playing
- Knowledge of graphic design, illustration, animation or motion graphics
- A proactive and collaborative mindset, with a passion for staying ahead of design trends and technologies.
