Reporting into the Director Compliance, the successful candidate will primarily provide compliance advisory support to global CWR teams. The candidate is expected to be well versed on Conduct Risk Management Framework including Compliance Policies/Standards.
What will you be doing?
Enhance the framework for Compliance, inter alia, including the following:
1. To provide Compliance advisory input to Functions and Business units in BX India on an ongoing basis;
2. Support the triage process for Compliance activity relating to BX Oversight which will include non SME direct oversight support.
3. To guide Business Units and Functions in the development and implementation of local compliance procedures, wherever required;
4. To be the India-based Compliance advisory unit on Conduct/Culture; and to conduct training on Policies and Standards pertaining to Conduct Risk;
5. To provide Compliance inputs for various Governance Forums and Control Forums for BX India;
6. Maintain regular communication/liaison with relevant senior management, business and others to ensure that they are aware of the business and regulatory risks, including advising them of significant policy matters, breaches, if any identified, accordingly to log issues and also issue breach notification or Policy reminders;
7. To work with other Compliance colleagues with regards to adhoc inquires and queries;
What we're looking for:
Candidates for this role are likely to have operated within the Compliance (or other risk and control) function of a major international firm. With experience of a number of functions across Financial Services, they will have a working knowledge of the regulatory landscape and a good understanding of what constitutes an appropriate Compliance Framework. They will respond well to pressure and be adaptable to changing circumstances; they will be comfortable in operating independently within a matrix environment.
Skills that will help you in the role:
- Graduate/PG Degree, with relevant experience of min 7-12 years gained in the Bank and/or a similar financial institution in compliance function preferably at Global Off-shoring Centres/Regulatory Compliance role.
- Proven ability to manage senior stakeholder relationships and negotiate to establish solutions to a wide range of issues.
- Experience of designing, communicating and implementing compliance policies
- Comprehensive understanding of compliance frameworks and processes
- Ability to communicate compliance concepts clearly, in a business context
- Ability to apply broad knowledge and reasoned experience when addressing complex issues and communicate findings in straightforward terms to employees at all levels in the organisation
