A problem isn't truly solved until it's solved for all. That's why Googlers build products that help create opportunities for everyone, whether down the street or across the globe. As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you'll use your technical expertise to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. You'll work with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. You're equally comfortable explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical tradeoffs in product development with engineers.
Our goal is to build a Google that looks like the world around us - and we want Googlers to stay and grow when they join us. As part of our efforts to build a Google for everyone, we build diversity, equity, and inclusion into our work and we aim to cultivate a sense of belonging throughout the company.
As a Technical Program Manager, you will deliver software quality and delightful user experiences for Google's first-party Pixel devices. You will work closely with teams across multiple locations including the US, Taiwan, China, India, the UK and others to meet these objectives. Your scope includes infrastructure/tooling development (including AI/ML), carrier pre-certification, integration testing of first-party and third-party apps, camera, display, audio, and many others. You will also work cross-functionally to support multiple high priority strategic initiatives across the business. Organizationally our team is growing quickly, which means it's rich with opportunities to grow leadership, build cross-functional skill sets and make major impacts with new and innovative solutions.
Google's mission is to organize the world's information and make it universally accessible and useful. Our Devices & Services team combines the best of Google AI, Software, and Hardware to create radically helpful experiences for users. We research, design, and develop new technologies and hardware to make our user's interaction with computing faster, seamless, and more powerful. Whether finding new ways to capture and sense the world around us, advancing form factors, or improving interaction methods, the Devices & Services team is making people's lives better through technology.
- Develop stakeholder alignment, support strategy, and drive execution of team expansion into India. This includes supporting and driving execution across multiple dimensions including: operational, technical, programmatic and supply/vendor base.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams across Google Pixel and Android organizations to identify goals, track progress and manage risks to ensure high-quality products launches.
- Lead Pixel device software test programs and provide clear data-driven status and communication to stakeholders and leadership. Work closely with and lead teams of test and software engineers to develop comprehensive test programs for new product releases, including any required test infrastructure.
- Use leadership to help grow our automation test suites, increasing test coverage and efficiency. Develop process improvements to scale programs and improve productivity. Help functional teams define Objectives and Key Results (OKRs), facilitate meetings, and report progress.
