Overview
Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled and experienced SAFe Program Manager to lead the successful implementation of our large-scale agile initiatives using the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) at symplr. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of SAFe principles and practices, excellent leadership and communication skills, and a proven track record of driving complex programs to successful outcomes.
Duties & Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Program Leadership: Lead and guide the implementation of multiple Agile Release Trains (ARTs) to ensure alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
- Collaboration: Foster a culture of collaboration and teamwork among Agile teams, Scrum Masters, Product Owners, and other stakeholders involved in the program.
- Communication: Facilitate effective communication and information sharing across teams, ensuring transparency and clarity in program goals, progress, and challenges.
- Risk Management: Identify, assess, and proactively manage program-level risks, issues, and impediments, taking appropriate actions to mitigate their impact.
- Continuous Improvement: Drive a culture of continuous improvement by identifying areas for enhancement in processes, practices, and workflows across the program.
- Metrics and Reporting: Establish relevant metrics and reporting mechanisms to track program progress, measure success, and make informed decisions.
- Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders at various levels, ensuring their engagement and support throughout the program lifecycle.
Adherence to SAFe: Ensure that SAFe principles, methodologies, and best practices are followed consistently across the program
Skills Required
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in a Computer Science.
- A SAFe certification is preferred.
- Familiarity with Azure Dev Ops board is preferred.
- Experience: Total 10 years of experience, 5 years of experience in program management, with a significant portion focused on leading and implementing agile initiatives using the SAFe framework.
- Strong understanding of agile methodologies such as Scrum and Kanban.
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to lead, inspire, and motivate cross-functional teams to achieve program objectives.
