Experience/ Qualifications
Minimum of 6 years and maximum of 8 years of total experience
- Mandatory experience of 2-3 years in managing Software Engineering projects as Project Lead for development and maintenance of enterprise class business IT applications in Banking domain in one of the following set up’s:
o Tier 1 IT companies
o IT captives of MNC Banks
o IT Product companies focused on Banking sector
- Hands on Experience in Java and J2EE platforms including Spring, design pattern, UI framework, CI-CD etc./worked on Microsoft SharePoint and have good knowledge of development using Visual Studio, and Code Repository tools.
- Proven expertise in the following process areas:
o SDLC Methodologies (Waterfall/ Agile)
o Project Planning
o Risk Management
o Stakeholder management
Possesses ability to quickly understand the technical and functional aspects of the project to be able to communicate effectively with different stakeholders and guide the team on various aspects.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, high integrity, strong work ethic and ability to empathize with the customer.
Responsibilities
Partner with stakeholders to define project scope, goals, deliverables, and timelines.
- Participate in development of requirements, business cases, estimations, Project Proposals and RFPs
- Facilitate the definition of service levels and acceptance criteria for projects
- Develop project plans, goals, and budgets in coordination with Project Manager
- Trouble Shooting with L1, L2 and L3 support, application Problem Solving with overall coordination with all stakeholders to ensure closure for cross functional services in coordination with Project Manager
- Coordinating with business and understanding their requirements regarding enhancements
- Escalate issues and risks and proactively takes ownership for resolution
- Metrics handling for managing application health, periodic status update to Project Manager
- Requirement gathering for the new enhancements and value engineering regarding existing application as applicable, further coordinate with architecture team for solution designing
- Maintain requirements, analysis, and design documents for different phases of development activities
- Track milestones and deliverables and provide regular status reporting to all levels of stakeholders
- Reviewing the SLA’s arrangements and coordinating with customer and management for SLA reporting and improvement
- Reviewing the status of the project and taking corrective/preventive measures as approved
- Ensure close working relationship with Functional, architecture, testing and development teams
- Plan and participate in project governance meetings, project health checks, phase gate reviews, post project reviews and project level workshops
- Share lessons learned and best practices across projects, building relationships with stakeholders at all levels
- Collaborate with IT PMO to implement standards, guidelines and perform other relevant activities
- Provide timely, candid, and constructive performance feedback to direct reports
Certifications
ITIL and Agile Certifications are preferred
Technology and Domain Specific Certifications are a plus.
