Typical Day in the Life of an Senior IT Application Support Engineer
- Respond to incoming support requests from users via phone, email, and ticketing system
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to software applications
- Work with software vendors and development teams to resolve application-related issues
- Maintain accurate documentation of support requests, resolutions, and related information
- Collaborate with the IT team to implement best practices for software Application Support
- Provide training and support to users on new and existing software applications
- Ensure all support requests are resolved in a timely manner and in accordance with SLAs
- Support onboarding/offboarding of process
- Continuously improve processes and procedures related to Application Support
- Should be actively engaged and supportive of Eide Bailly’s change management process.
- Monitor critical application
- Ensure QuickBooks server updates are maintained
- Support the incident management process and escalate major incident to Onshore as needed
- Validate critical applications after monthly server patching
Who you are
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- 4-10 years of experience in a similar role providing technical support for software applications
- Strong understanding of software applications and technologies, including experience with SQL and web-based applications
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues
- Excellent customer service and communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical teams
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple requests simultaneously
