Position Overview:

We are currently seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Junior Accountant to join our finance team. As a Junior Accountant, you will work closely with senior accountants and the finance manager to assist in various financial tasks and ensure accurate record-keeping and reporting. This is a full-time position offering an opportunity for growth and development in the field of accounting within the real estate industry.

Responsibilities:

1. Assist in maintaining accurate financial records by entering data into the company's accounting system and organizing supporting documentation.
2. Prepare and reconcile bank statements, credit card statements, and other financial transactions to ensure accuracy and completeness.
3. Assist in the preparation of monthly financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
4. Support the finance manager in budgeting and forecasting activities, reviewing financial data, and flagging any inconsistencies or discrepancies.
5. Perform general bookkeeping tasks, such as maintaining the general ledger, recording journal entries, and reconciling accounts.
6. Assist with the preparation and filing of various tax forms, such as VAT returns, income tax returns, and property tax filings.
7. Collaborate with other departments to gather necessary financial information and provide support in budget planning and expenditure control.
8. Conduct regular inventory checks, reconcile inventory records, and assist in the preparation of inventory reports.
9. Help in managing accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, including sending invoices, tracking payments, and following up on outstanding balances.
10. Support the audit process by preparing necessary documents and providing necessary information and clarification to auditors.

Qualifications:

1. A bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is required.
2. Previous experience in the accounting field is preferred but not mandatory.
3. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks) is essential.
4. Excellent mathematical and analytical skills with strong attention to detail.
5. Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact with colleagues and external stakeholders.
6. Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
7. Knowledge of accounting principles and practices, including GAAP.
8. Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
9. Interest in the real estate industry and willingness to learn and adapt to industry-specific accounting practices.
10. Professionalism and ethical behavior while handling confidential financial information.
