Junior Shop Manager- ME Phaltan

Description

Performs skilled activities which support manufacturing business needs. Selects and uses appropriate tools, machinery and specialty equipment. Learns and understands the protocols of working safely with electricity and other energy sources with industrial equipment. May work independently and instruct or coach others.

Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE)

Stop work and immediately report any major injury hazards.

Report any work-related injury, illness, incident or hazard.

Comply with HSE standards, policies, procedures and regulations.

Use appropriate personal protective equipment.

Correct hazards within your control and capabilities.

Quality

Applies high standards of workmanship and craftsmanship.

Support equipment uptime and downtime failure analysis.

Performs work in accordance with diagrams, sketches, operation manuals and specifications using various tools, measuring and testing instruments.

Provide feedback into the Preventive Maintenance system.

Follows all process documentation and quality procedures.

Raises issues to minimize cost and quality exposures.

Performs quality inspections.

Delivery

Fully proficient performing skilled activities expected by their roles in accordance with defined roles and responsibilities.

Instructs and coaches others and acts as an informal resource for team members with less capability.

Performs and documents preventive, emergency, corrective and predictive maintenance activities.

Maintains clean and orderly work area, including routine housekeeping and machine cleaning tasks.

Performs other miscellaneous duties as required to meet production goals.

Work with peers and support staff to:

Education, Licenses, Certifications

High school diploma or certificate of completion of secondary education or equivalent experience to the extent such experience meets applicable regulations.

This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.

Experience

Requires significant relevant work experience or specialized skills obtained through education, training or on-the-job experience.

  1. Good Knowledge of Basic Mechanical Engineering and hands-on experience on mechanical tools

  2. Knowledge of AutoCAD software and basic designing

  3. Good Knowledge of tools, fixtures, tackle design and machine installation

  4. Knowledge of Oracle system

  5. Knowledge of Quality tools - 7 step problem solving; Six-sigma; Minitab etc.

  6. Preparation of RFQ, PR, PO, GRR. Monitoring manufacturing expenses, Capex monitoring, Asset

Tagging and various audit.

  1. Assists with study and implementation of methods to improve efficiency in production and process by

implementation of Industry 4.0 projects.

  1. HSE and Ergonomics related tasks and projects implementation and audits.
