AddressAs the Finance and Accounts Manager specialising in Web3 and cryptocurrency transactions, you will be responsible for maintaining our virtual accounts, managing company finances and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations. You will play a critical role in overseeing our financial operations, optimising tax strategies and managing accounts in the digital asset space.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute and manage cryptocurrency transactions, including buying, selling, and transferring digital assets, while adhering to best practices for security, transparency and compliance.
- Maintain and reconcile virtual accounts across multiple platforms and wallets, ensuring accuracy, integrity, and transparency in financial reporting.
- Assist in the preparation and distribution of financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements and cash flow statements, with a focus on transactions involving cryptocurrencies and digital assets.
- Work closely with external tax advisors to develop and implement tax strategies optimised for cryptocurrency transactions and Web3 activities, ensuring compliance with relevant tax laws and regulations.
- Manage day-to-day accounting functions, including recording transactions, reconciling accounts and preparing journal entries, with a focus on digital assets and blockchain-based transactions.
- Conduct financial analysis and performance evaluation of cryptocurrency holdings, investment portfolio and revenue streams to support decision-making and strategic planning.
- Stay abreast of regulatory developments and industry trends in the Web3 and cryptocurrency space and ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and reporting requirements.
- Collaborate with internal teams, including finance, legal, operations and technology, to integrate cryptocurrency transactions and Web3 finance seamlessly into company operations and systems.
- Stay informed about emerging technologies, industry best practices and evolving regulatory frameworks in the Web3 and cryptocurrency space and continuously seek opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; advanced degree or professional certification is a plus.
- Minimum of 3 - 5 years of experience in finance and accounting roles, with specific expertise in cryptocurrency transactions, blockchain technology and Web3 finance.
- Proven track record of executing and managing cryptocurrency transactions across various platforms and wallets.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, tax laws and regulatory requirements relevant to cryptocurrency transactions and digital assets.
- Proficiency in using accounting software and blockchain analytics tools to manage virtual accounts and track cryptocurrency transactions.
- Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
