Role details:
- Title / Designation: Associate Director of Sales – B2B SaaS
- Reporting Manager: Co-founder & CEO
- Location: Gurugram, India
- Work hours: 6PM to 3 AM IST, on weekdays.
Role & responsibilities:
- Identify and cultivate new business opportunities within the Global Automotive, Retail, and related sectors.
- Collaborate closely with the CEO and functional leaders to craft strategies for market expansion.
- Develop and oversee a team of Account Executives and Sales Development Representatives.
- Assess current partnerships and sales initiatives, refining or pivoting strategies as needed.
- Lead sales, marketing, customer service, and client relationship management teams.
- Establish cross-functional teams to foster sustainable, long-term growth.
- Propose and forge strategic partnerships to enhance business objectives.
- Travel to vendor sites, distribution centers, and other relevant locations as necessary.
- Manage requests for proposals (RFPs) from potential partners and customers.
- Formulate contract frameworks and negotiate terms with clients to secure sales.
- Analyze sales data to generate comprehensive performance reports.
- Host webinars and presentations to enhance brand or product visibility.
- Represent the company at trade shows and similar events.
Candidate requirements:
- Must have 5-10 years of experience in SaaS sales experience, particularly for a SaaS product selling in the US.
- Must have 4-6 years of experience in supervisory or management experience in Business Development
- Involved in building a 0-1 journey and a Sales Playbook in a similar stage SaaS start-up.
- Expertise in Closing large deals.
- Experience in scaling sales teams from 4 to 10 members and beyond.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, leadership, management skills, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Strong business acumen and detail-oriented and persuasive.
- MBA degree preferably from top IIMs, ISB or Tier-1 global institutions
