Skills/Responsibilities:
> Develop and implement systems and procedures to resolve and prevent recurrence of both internal and customer identified quality issues related to fabric manufacturing and cut and sew operations.
> Should be experienced in Mastercam programmimg
> Utilize tools including Control Plans, PFMEAs and six sigma to implement changes in manufacturing and with raw materials to detect, prevent, and contain quality issues. Collect and utilize data along with Gauge R&R studies to validate and improve internal testing methods and inspection frequency to maximize efficiency and effectiveness of QA activities
> Provide day-to-day management of the QC/QA department and act as a technical contact as needed to support sales and customers.
> Work with suppliers to develop raw material specifications to control important parameters that impact operational efficiency and finished product quality.
> Oversee quality control of incoming materials and in-line production processes.
> Coordinate research and development projects
> Manage customer complaint process including investigation, root cause analysis and implementation of corrective actions.
> Analyze defects identified in production and group into standardized categories to allow for pareto analysis to prioritize improvement activities
> Work with department management to integrate inspection and quality control into all critical steps of the production process.
> Work with customers to assess quality requirements and reach agreement on acceptance levels in order to align customer expectations and process capabilities.
> Understand regulatory requirements as they apply to the business and implement systems to ensure compliance.
