We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of  Vice President - AM Strategy.

• Working within the HSBC Asset Management (AM) strategy team, the Vice President, AM Strategy and Corporate Management will report to the Head of AM Strategy and Corporate Management COE. The role will focus on supporting Global strategy projects and corporate management activities:

What you’ll do:

The primary responsibilities of the team are:

• Organic strategy: Development of Business or Regional strategy in line with WPB and AM Strategic direction; manage the process of strategic reviews; develop diagnostics and action plans for strategic initiatives and underperforming business segments; and monitor or oversee strategy implementation and transformation initiatives
• M&A and Partnerships: M&A project management and governance (both acquisitions and disposals); Financial modelling, business case, due diligence, synergy & integration planning; Post-integration reviews
• Corporate management: Drive key stakeholder agenda; management forums coordination; intra-bank / intra-WPB collaboration; CEO Communications (e.g. townhalls); and management reporting

Principal Accountabilities and Responsibilities

• Working with colleagues in the AM strategy team to develop strategy plans, including articulation of ambitions, priorities, investments and plans to deliver HSBC Asset Management’s strategy
• Contributing to M&A projects including market scanning, target identification, target analysis, financial modelling, synergy planning, due diligence and project management and governance
• Developing competitor insight and benchmarking to identify key trends impacting the Asset Management industry and shape our strategic planning
• Producing MI and analysis which helps proactively identify strategic opportunities or risks within the HSBC Asset Management business
• Contributing to asset management projects that are strategic or confidential in nature e.g. country/capability reviews
• Providing ongoing strategic oversight on strategic or transformational projects e.g. market entry or M&A integration projects
• Working with colleagues in the AM Strategy and Corporate Management team to produce regular or ad-hoc management reporting e.g. board reports, strategy updates, talking points for senior management
• Act as a key strategic partner and contact point to WPB Strategy and Chief of Staff teams providing services whilst ensuring performance metrics are met
• Ensure strong collaboration with Global Business (GB), Global Functions (GF) teams to mobilise initiatives requiring cross-functional inputs
• Engage with functional stakeholders (e.g. Human Resources, Information Technology, Finance), Product Partners and the other Global Businesses to ensure progression against plans
