Position Overview:
As a Technical Lead. at ReDesyn, you will lead a dynamic team of engineers and developers, playing a pivotal role in shaping the technological future of our company. You will be responsible for overseeing a diverse team, ensuring the delivery of high-quality software solutions that align with our business objectives and meet the evolving needs of our creators and influencers.
Key Responsibilities:
Team Leadership and Management:
- Lead and mentor a team which includes QA, Designers, Backend Engineers, and Full Stack Engineers.
- Foster a collaborative and inclusive team environment that encourages innovation and continuous learning.
Technical Expertise:
- Proficiency in Ruby on Rails, Python, Next.js, and React Native.
- Extensive experience with AWS and Gumlet for CDN.
- Stay abreast of emerging technologies, demonstrating a willingness to explore and implement new solutions.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Work closely with various departments including sales, marketing, creator onboarding, and customer care to ensure alignment of engineering efforts with company goals.
- Act as a technical liaison between the engineering team and other business units.
Strategic Leadership:
- Develop and implement engineering strategies that support the company's objectives and growth.
- Balance innovation with pragmatism, ensuring that the team focuses on both urgent and important tasks.
- Make informed decisions on when to embrace new technologies and when to adhere to proven solutions.
Empathetic Leadership:
- Cultivate a culture of empathy and understanding within the team.
- Demonstrate exceptional leadership skills, knowing when to assertively say 'yes' or 'no' in critical situations.
- Guide the team in prioritizing tasks, and distinguishing between what is urgent and what is important.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in a senior engineering leadership role, preferably in the creator economy or a related industry.
- Strong technical background in the relevant languages and frameworks.
- Experience in leading cross-functional teams and collaborating with multiple business units.
- Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and leadership skills.
- A passion for technology, with a curiosity to experiment with new trends.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with an empathetic approach to leadership.
