The Opportunity:
Ensuring best in class accounting support is delivered consistently for the Record to Report area involving processing, reporting and presentation of accurate financial data in a timely manner to management and stakeholders. To drive, co-ordinate on audit with various stakeholders and teams for effective and smooth audit process. To focus on innovations to gain efficiency in the accounting area.
You are great at:
- Processing and Approving Journals and reconciliations
- Ensuring timeliness, accuracy and quality of work performed regularly including report extraction; query management;
- Handling complex size entities in production and audits
- To document the process in standard SOP
- Handling and supporting Audits
- Perform Volume Analysis, Support production planning and backup planning
- Support management reporting and Operations Review
- Balance sheet review and variance analysis for small scale entities
What it takes:
- First level university degree with a focus in commerce advanced degree and/or accounting certification.
- Typically, 3-5+ years of experience in a Finance function or exhibiting an exceptionally strong background in some other relevant and applicable area of R2R accounting
- Good accounting knowledge to understand and post Journal Entries and prepare and review account reconciliation.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) / US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (USGAAP) Accounting
- Ability to deliver multiple priorities and do effective time management.
- Good understanding of System/Integration, problem solving and analytical skills
- Strong problem-solving skills. Ability to understand, interpret and present financial data
- Evidence of building and maintaining strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders acting as a trusted business advisor
- Identifying potential escalation and acting on that in a timely manner
- Flexibility to support different time-zones and geographies.
