This role will be responsible for overseeing all tax-related matters, Statutory compliance & Audit within our organization, ensuring compliance with tax laws and regulations, and optimizing tax strategies to minimize liabilities while maximizing tax efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement tax strategies and policies to ensure compliance with local and international tax laws and regulations.
- Manage all aspects of tax planning, including identifying opportunities for tax savings and efficiencies.
- Lead the preparation and filing of tax returns, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Provide guidance and support to internal stakeholders on tax-related matters, including advising on tax implications of business decisions and transactions.
- Monitor changes in tax laws and regulations and assess their impact on the organization, making recommendations for adjustments as necessary.
- Manage relationships with external tax advisors and authorities, including representing the organization in tax audits and inquiries.
- Stay updated on industry best practices and emerging trends in taxation and recommend innovative solutions to optimize tax efficiency.
Statutory Compliances & Audit:
- Stay updated on relevant laws, regulations, and standards applicable to the organization's industry and operations.
- Conduct regular audits and assessments to evaluate compliance with statutory requirements.
- Develop, implement, and maintain compliance policies, procedures, and controls to mitigate risks and promote adherence to legal and regulatory requirements.
- Prepare and submit compliance reports to management and regulatory agencies as required.
- Maintain records and documentation related to compliance activities, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and confidentiality.
Qualifications:CA is Must + CS is good to have but not mandatory.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Taxation, or related field; Master's degree or professional certification (e.g., CPA, CA) preferred.
- Years of progressive experience in tax management roles, preferably within a multinational organization into Manufacturing.
- In-depth knowledge of GST, tax laws and regulations, including experience with international taxation and transfer pricing (IS GOOD TO HAVE)).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex tax regulations and provide practical solutions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
- Proven leadership abilities, with experience in managing teams and driving results in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in tax software and MS Office suite.
