- Manpower planning and budgeting in consultation with Business Heads of different functional & operational areas as part of the annual Strategic planning & Business planning process
- Interacting with Management and Departmental Heads for devising and implementing HR Policies & Procedures in line with the vision & mission and regulatory environment
- Ensure right sizing of the manpower by ensuring a right mix of contractual and permanent employees
- Develop a culture of ownership and accountability by ensuring clear accountabilities through KRA's & KPI's across all levels at the start of the financial year
- Analyse manpower productivity at all levels and ensure the same is in alignment to achieve the business objectives. Implement & execute the reward and recognition process to appreciate high performers in the plant setup
- Analyse and introduce industry best practices and policies to create a better work environment
- Implement & facilitate the Performance Management System in line with the corporate team
- Will work closely with the corporate team for recruitment, selection, joining process & on boarding for new recruits through a structured induction process
- Capability development for the business, implementation of L&D plan which includes functional capabilities, managerial & leadership development
- Good knowledge and experience of ensuring Harmonious industrial relations, knowledge of Industrial Disputes Act & Provisions thereof including Long Term Wage negotiations and handling of Industrial Disputes. Ensure all statutory compliances are adhered to
- Oversee all admin & safety, health & environment related aspects in the plant
- Support in maintaining harmonious IR environment in the company
- Improving productivity & efficiency in the plant
- Assist in the Long term Settlement process with the union
- Maintain Grade rationalization
- Ensure manpower productivity through control on overtime and proper manpower planning
- Maintain all documents as per statutory compliances and represent the Company in Conciliation and other proceedings and hearings
- Effective management of all legal matters and liaison with Government officials
- Contract labour management
- Manage company sponsored welfare schemes like Scholarships for employees children, picnics, long Service awards, cultural programs, holiday homes etc.
- Key Interfaces: Unions, HR Team, Functional Heads, Statutory authorities, Internal /External Union Officials, External Consultants and Contractors
