Senior It Technologist-Mobile Application Testing

Position Description

We are looking for a highly motivated and energetic individual to join our Global IT Connected Care team.We drive software application design, development, deployment, and support for internal stakeholders and external users. As an IT Test Lead, you will own the end-to-end application software validation and testing process for the IT Connected Care Product Experience team.  Responsibilities include defining the test strategy for applications, authoring/executing test scripts that fully challenge defined requirements and managing/tracking defects that come up in the testing process. This role owns the creation of quality test documents in a regulated industry (test plans, traceability matrices, test scripts/results, and reports). You will be responsible for working with project managers to provide work estimates and status updates and will be expected to work in collaboration with the development team through the development and validation process. 

The Test Lead is responsible for overall test leadership for the assigned products.This includes planning and coordinating software testing tasks requiring analysis, planning, scheduling and participation in requirements and design reviews.This role is responsible for defining the testing strategy (manual, automated, integration, performance, load, regression), providing test estimates, test plan development, test execution, test status reporting, and test deliverables.This entails working collaboratively with Product Owners and Project Managers to ensure the appropriate testing discipline and adherence to the MSCM framework. 

Other responsibilities include ensuring accuracy of their team’s assigned test scripts during development and execution resulting from using our standard testing tools.This individual also develops respective domain knowledge, educating the Product Teams regarding test standards, test optimization, and overall objective to improve quality, lower cost, and increase speed.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provide leadership of the test strategy, test plans, test creation and execution, and the test data
• Provide day-to-day governance of the testing resources and their deliverables
• Develop and present materials related to testing levels, activities, procedures, requirements, standards, and use of testing tools.
• Maintain a deep and current understanding of testing methodologies and best practices.
• Be a visible advocate and subject matter expert for the testing process.
• Advise, train and mentor users and team members on testing processes.
• Demonstrate expertise in Mobile Application Software Quality Assurance with solid understanding of system validation and lifecycle design.
• Define test strategies based on native mobile application requirements, may include manual or automation, include API Integration testing, functional, performance, user acceptance, and regression testing.
• Interpret system requirements into test cases that include positive and negative test scripts.
• Provide estimates for test efforts
  • Create and execute test plans/scripts/scenarios
  • Experience working in agile methodology
  • Demo system functionality and system defects to project teams.
  • Collaborate with development teams to clarify requirements and system/application function.
  • Author quality documents in a regulated industry.
  • Document user test scripts to cover end-to-end user requirements (UAT)
  • Log test results and collect test evidence.
  • Log, disposition, and manage defects.
  • Work with tools such as Polarion, HP ALM, Postman, Jira,
  • Leverage automated test tools for smoke and regression testing such as Selenium, XCode, Android Studio, etc
  • Facilitate testing meetings, summarize results, issue/defect reporting, maintain metrics and provide go/no go recommendation. 
  • Generate test data for short- and long-term application needs.
