Sr. Director HR Business Partner (People Practice)
Job Description / Responsibilities:
- Responsible for developing people strategies that support BU's strategic goals,
- Develop and implement BU level annual HR agenda in line with BU and Corporate goals.
- Oversee and provide leadership on various HR programs including talent, reward & recognition, employee experience, and employee engagement and diversity initiatives.
- Direct the compensation and performance assessment processes to competitively attract, reward, and retain team members.
- Design and implement talent management and retention programs to retain high performers and successive planning within BUs.
- Develop the Career Development Program for the team members that meets their aspiration and growth.
- Will be custodian for implementation of all HR program and policies ensuring frameworks and procedures comply with legislative requirements to protect organization's interests, reflect best practices, and promote high standards of people management.
- Ownership of the Employer brand and positioning it to be "Employer of Choice" / "Great Place to Work" by members and prospect candidates.
- Ensuring excellence in service delivery for Business HR processes i.e., performance appraisal, rewards and recognition programs, internal communication, grievance redressal etc.
- Conduct periodical member surveys to collate insights @ workplace and in turn design interventions accordingly to address concern areas.
- Create annual engagement program with extended reach to Happiest Minds member's families, Alumni etc.
- Effectively manage the HR Operations activities like record keeping, payroll processing etc.
- Closely work with internal stakeholders & leaders like Business CEO, COO, Delivery Head, Program Manager/ Practice Head for HR function to conceptualize and run the people initiatives.
- Create HR Dashboard and reports providing information such as staff turnover, engagement reach, survey results etc.
- Being a Happiness Evangelist for the BU/team.
- Prepare Annual BU HR Budget and forecasting on manpower plan, attrition, budgetary spent etc.
- Keep the management updated with the best HR practices across industry and create thought leadership in the HR space by recommending innovative programs.
- Develop the collective knowledge of the HR team to handle complex and crisis situations arising due to dynamic and changing business environment.
- Manage the HRMS, system updates to ensure the teams are mapped and tagged in accordance with the actual team and managers.
- Lead and implement special projects (e.g., global initiatives, organization design, process improvement, new benefits plan).
- Provides advice and direction to managers and members related to performance management, employee relations, recruitment, succession planning, compensation, compliance, training & development etc.
- Manage employee relations issues that includes and are not limited to participation in investigations, handling employee disciplinary issues, and performance management meetings.
Desired profile of the candidate:
- Master's degree in HR from reputed institute.
- At least 10 years of HR experience with exposure to Business Partnering, C&B and Organization Development (OD).
- Previous experience working in a Mid/ Mid-Large IT Services
- Capable of handling multiples projects / initiatives simultaneously and executing to completion
- Must have positive and professional verbal and written communication skills and maintain excellent interpersonal skills.
- Excellent analytical, operational and leadership skills
- Strong customer service focus, with a high level of responsiveness
- A positive, can-do, and pragmatic approach to challenges and complexity
- Ability to interact confidently with Senior Leadership

- Sound knowledge of local labor laws and government requirements
- Detailed-oriented with excellent organizational & documentation skills.
Total Experience: 15-20 years.
- Relevant Industry/Domain: Experience in Mid-size/large IT services company with Digital/Product Engineering Business.
- Required Skill Set: Must have: HR Business Partner Role, Responsible for managing 4000 to 8000 members for an SBU / Business.
- Preferred: Exposure of Org. Talent and Analytics Programs / Projects.
