What you’ll achieve
Independently developing company's Government Relations strategy for India and successfully executing it. This includes monitoring and analyzing government activities that could impact the company's business, building relationships with government officials, and advocating for the company's interests on legislative and regulatory matters. You will be responsible for determining and managing our key policy campaigns in-country and also for coordinating with cross-functional colleagues locally.
You will:
Independently manage the company’s engagement with executive branch officials, legislators, regulators, non-government organization, media and opinion makers.
Work closely with leaders at Dell Technologies, identify and explain key govt policy issues, understand their point of views and develop engagement strategies around these issues with external stakeholders to achieve desired result. Research and monitor government activities that could impact the company's business, including legislation, regulations, and policy proposals.
Build and maintain relationships with elected members, government officials, and other representatives, think-tanks, and trade associations. Advocate for the company's interests on legislative and regulatory matters, working with government committees and industry bodies, drafting, and submitting comments on proposed legislation, and meeting with government officials to discuss and resolve the company's concerns.
Decipher the impact of policy and regulation on business and successfully manage it. Develop authentic points of view and execute the company's Government Relations strategy, in coordination with multi-functional teams in different geographies.
Establish thought leadership in areas of relevance from a current and future standpoint. Stay up-to-date on the latest trends in Government Relations and policy. Represent the company at industry events and conferences.

Essential Requirements
Master's degree in political science, public policy, technology, management, or a related field. LLB will be an advantage.
15+ years of relevant experience in Government Relations. 5+ years of leadership position.
Excellent understanding of the legislative and regulatory process.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively communicate with internal leaders, government, and broader audiences. Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
Thought leadership and public speaking track record. Ability to build and maintain relationships with government and industry representatives.
Desirable Requirements
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
