We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated RIS/PACS Support Engineer to join our dynamic team. Your expertise will play a critical role in supporting our healthcare providers in delivering high-quality patient care through efficient access to imaging data.
Responsibilities: -
- Act as primary contact for customers to provide support via phone, email, live chat during business hours in the Rotational shift (6 am – 1 am IST, Monday through Friday)
- Assist clients by identifying problems and guiding clients through RCA, CA, PA steps.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks on RIS/PACS systems to ensure optimal performance and reliability, including software updates, database maintenance and system backups.
- Provide frontline technical support to end-users, including radiologists, clinicians, and IT staff, troubleshooting issues, and resolving problems in a timely manner to minimize downtime.
- Conduct training sessions and create user documentation to educate healthcare professionals on RIS/PACS functionality, best practices, and workflows.
- Monitor system performance metrics, identify areas for improvement, and implement optimization strategies to enhance system efficiency and responsiveness.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of system configurations, troubleshooting procedures, and support activities and generate regular reports on system performance and user support matric.
- Ensure all calls are properly logged and documented.
- Perform other roles-related duties as assigned.
- Prioritize and manage multiple open issues at one time.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Proven experience in supporting RIS/PACS systems in a healthcare environment, with a strong understanding of medical imaging workflows and DICOM standards.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting and resolving technical problems related to RIS/PACS software, hardware, and network connectivity.
- Familiarity with database management systems like MySQL, SQL or Oracle and experience with HL7 integration and healthcare interoperability standards.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with end-users, technical terms and vendors and convey complex technical concepts in a clear manner.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to identifying and addressing system issues and performance.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.
Additional details:
- The role operates within a 24/7 operational environment, necessitating flexibility in working hours.
- Regular work hours do not include weekends; however, availability outside of standard hours may be required.
- Occasionally, this role may require onsite support for customers at their facilities. The ability to travel and provide hands-on assistance to client is essential.
