Job Description
Role: IT Support Engineer
Location: Remote/Bangalore
Shift: 8:00 Pm to 5:00 Am (Night shift) or 6:30 Pm to 3:30 Am
Experience: 2 to 5 Years
Role Overview:
As an IT Support Engineer, you will be responsible for diagnosing and resolving hardware and software issues, assisting with IT equipment setup and maintenance, and providing excellent customer service to our employees. Your role is crucial in maintaining the productivity of our team members by ensuring their IT needs are met promptly and effectively.
Responsibilities:
Provide technical support to end-users via phone, email, or in-person, addressing hardware and software issues promptly and professionally.
Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software problems related to desktops, laptops, printers, and other IT equipment.
Assist with the installation, configuration, and maintenance of computer systems, software, and peripherals.
Set up user accounts, permissions, and passwords.
Collaborate with the IT team to implement and maintain IT security measures, including antivirus and firewall solutions.
Install and update software applications and operating systems.
Perform system backups and data recovery as needed.
Assist with technology procurement, including selecting and ordering hardware and software.
Train employees on the use of IT equipment and software applications.
Maintain documentation of IT assets, software licenses, and troubleshooting procedures.
Stay up-to-date with technology trends and developments to provide proactive support.
Requirements
Requirements & Skills:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
Proven experience in an IT support role.
Strong knowledge of Windows and/or macOS operating systems.
Familiarity with hardware components and troubleshooting techniques.
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
Ability to provide exceptional customer service.
Knowledge of network protocols and basic network troubleshooting.
IT certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified IT Professional) is a plus.
