Lead - Trade Planning - Jiomart
Key Responsibilities:
Trade Strategy Development:
- Develop and implement Trade Planning strategies aligned with the overall business objectives and growth targets of JioMart's Grocery Vertical.
- Analyze market trends, competitive landscape, and customer insights to identify opportunities for assortment optimization, pricing strategies, and promotional activities.
Assortment Planning and Optimization:
- Collaborate with merchandising, sourcing, and supply chain teams to develop and maintain product assortments that meet customer demand and drive category growth.
- Conduct regular SKU rationalization and assortment reviews to ensure alignment with customer preferences, market trends, and profitability targets.
Vendor Management and Negotiations:
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with vendors, suppliers, and partners to secure favorable terms, pricing, and promotional support.
- Negotiate vendor agreements, terms, and conditions to maximize margins, minimize costs, and optimize inventory levels.
Promotional Planning and Execution:
- Plan, execute, and evaluate promotional campaigns, discounts, and offers to drive traffic, sales, and customer engagement.
- Collaborate with marketing and advertising teams to develop promotional strategies and creative assets that effectively communicate value propositions to customers.
Performance Monitoring and Analysis:
- Monitor and analyze trade performance metrics, including sales trends, margin analysis, and promotional effectiveness.
- Generate insights and recommendations based on data analysis to optimize Trade Planning strategies, assortment decisions, and promotional activities.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Retail Management, or a related field. Master's degree is a plus.
- 10+ years of experience in Trade Planning, category management, merchandising, or a similar role, preferably within the retail or e-commerce industry.
- Strong understanding of retail operations, supply chain dynamics, and Trade Planning principles.
- Excellent analytical skills and proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques.
- Effective communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to work cross-functionally and collaborate with multiple stakeholders to achieve business objectives.
- Results-oriented mindset with a focus on driving sales, profitability, and customer satisfaction.
