R&D Associate Engineer

You will be working as R&D Associate Engineer and reporting to R&D Team Lead for Electrification Business Area, Distribution Solutions Division based in Nashik. You will be responsible to contribute significantly to successful project results in technology, software, product or solution development as well as associated IP by identifying, proposing, and implementing innovative solutions.

Your responsibilities

• Preparing mechanical design concept and full CAD 3D models. detailed design and complete detailed 2D drawings
• Designing of sheet metal parts, casted and machined metal parts, molded plastic parts
• Performing metal forming and manufacturing process knowledge and optimization
• Designing reviews in close communication with other R&D project Managers and technical experts
• Designing and Developing of Circuit Breaker
• Designing and validating through calculations, Analysis, Testing
• Serving as a subject matter expert to the project, providing guidance to colleagues and more junior team members, acting as a mentor, and sharing lessons learned

Your background

• Bachelors or master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
• Minimum 2 to 5 years experience in design of mechanical parts, mechanisms
• Excellent competence with CAD (Pro-E, Solidworks etc.,), technical drawings and experience in PLM systems is required, SolidWorks/SmarTeam/Windchill is preferred
• Knowledge on Materials & Material standards i.e., IS, EN, ISO, DIN etc and different Manufacturing processes
• Excellent communication and strong analytical skills
