About Dhwani:
Dhwani Rural Information Systems is a social/development sector-focused advisory and consulting firm that develops IT applications for NGOs, government functionaries, CSRs, and international funding organizations to manage their projects and programs in India and abroad. We are seeking a Project Manager to manage the delivery of multiple projects using our in-house IT platforms, mForm and mGrant, for CSR grant management and M&E requirements of clients.
Job Overview:
As a Project Manager at Dhwani Rural Information Systems, you will play a crucial role in managing the delivery of multiple projects using our in-house IT platforms, mForm and mGrant, for our clients in the social/development sector. You will act as a point of contact with our partner NGO, CSR, and government clients and the internal tech team at Dhwani, and be responsible for understanding client project details, giving software demos, requirement gathering for digitization, software feature development discussions, preparation of M&E framework/log framework, digitization of the M&E framework on the platform, dashboard indicator and reporting framework design, data clean-up and upload process, training manual and training, testing, and other evolving roles.

Key Responsibilities:
Project Monitoring and Management:
- Facilitate regular communication and collaboration between the Dhwani PMU and the Monitoring and Impact (MI) unit of the client to ensure alignment of monitoring activities with project goals and objectives.
- Monitor the project(s) and the field team to ensure that project objectives are met. Support the central Monitoring & Impact (MI) team to ensure 100% reporting from all the regions.
- Have a comprehensive understanding of the monitoring tools, reporting frameworks, formats and indicators and guide the team of analysts to fill any conceptual or technical gaps in reporting.
- Monitor overall progression and regularly coordinate with teams from client MI and Dhwani to ensure zero gaps between the conceptual and technical parts of the project
- Requirement gathering for digitization and software feature development discussions.
- Recommend product enhancements based on relevant feedback from the team.
- Ensure security of the data collected from the field
Capacity building:
- The incumbent will be responsible for capacity building of the team and implementation partners for the MI team’s overall functions - its systems and processes including Theory of Change, logic model, data management, LMS etc.
- Monitor the performance and productivity of the team of analysts, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective measures as needed.
Research Studies:
The MI central team at Mumbai conducts various research studies like Baselines and Impact Assessments via third party agencies. The incumbent will
- Support preparation of M&E framework/Log framework and digitization of the M&E framework on the platform
- Support the central team in project and field data sharing between the client’s regional team and the implementing partners
- Ensure quality control of the data collected from the field.
Essential Technical Requirements:
- Experience in survey or MIS design/overseeing survey implementation/managing survey teams for Baseline-Midline assessments, M&E projects, etc.
- Strong research skills (qualitative and quantitative, impact assessments, report writing, log frame design)\
- Experience on working with data in excel for data storage, data cleaning, data analysis
- Experience of using BI tools like Google Studio, Power BI, Tableau etc
- Exposure to different off-the-shelf survey solutions (Google Forms, Survey Monkey, Surveyor, etc.)
- Experience in working on multiple projects in a fast-paced work environment
- Proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget
- Experience with project management tools and techniques, including project planning, resource allocation, risk management, and stakeholder communication
- Ability to work with cross-functional teams and manage external vendors and partners
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and team members

Education:
- MBA or Master's degree in a relevant field such as Rural Management, Public Policy, Economics, Social Studies, or Development Studies
- Preference given to candidates with a degree from a reputable institution such as IRMA, APU, IIFM, XIMB, TISS, IIHMR or fellowship from YIF, Anubhav Lecture Series, India Fellow, Indian School of Public Policy, Gandhi, Teach for India, Genpact Fellowship
- Experience: 4-6 years of experience as a Project Manager in a social/development sector-focused organizations such as an NGO, social impact consulting firm, CSR, think tank, or research organization
- Experience working with IT platforms and software solutions is a plus
