Job Role: Tax Manager
Location: Mumbai
Qualification: CA
Responsibilities:
- The tax position is within company's finance department. The position includes responsibility for all aspects of corporate tax advisory and compliance and day to day direct tax aspects relating to operations.
- The Tax Manager will be responsible for all direct & indirect tax compliances of the company, as well as other non-resident entities of Group with tax presence in India, support on intra-group transactions, litigation and matters related to bidding process from a tax perspective.
- In particular, the Tax Manager will be expected to:
- Keep track of the day to day requirements on direct & indirect taxation matters of the Indian Company and ensure compliance;
- Provide support on the day to day requirements on direct taxation matters of the non-resident entities from company
- Assistance and support on local and cross border tax issues relating to transactions of the Indian company and overseas entities of company in India
- Interact with the tax and business development/sales team of the client, business partners, subcontractors and suppliers.
- Interface with local tax advisors and government bodies for tax matters, including tax litigations.
- Remain updated on the changes in tax laws and environment and provide timely feedback to Group
Requirements:
- A qualified MBA / Chartered / Cost Accountant or Company Secretary / Law graduate with requisite experience in tax matters or a business studies graduate with specialization in taxes.
- Hands on experience of around 3-7 years in the Corporate Tax Department of a company.
Suitable candidates from consulting firms having the requisite experience and exposure can also be considered.
- Good interpersonal and coordination skills, analytical bent of mind and requisite drafting abilities, capable of working independently and lead a team, self-starter with a dynamic outlook.
