- Manage the State PMU for the Vocational Education Program.
- Liaise with Samagra Shiksha officials for planning, executing, and monitoring vocational education activities.
- Oversee the Monitoring & Information system for real-time project monitoring, data collection, and reporting.
- Draft and document official letters, proposals, presentations, and file notes.
- Develop monitoring strategies and ensure timely program implementation.
- Budget and plan vocational education components for Samagra Shiksha and Lend A Hand India programs.
- Organize and lead meetings and events with multiple stakeholders.
- Coordinate with state departments and external parties (NSDC, Sector Skill Councils, Vocational Training Providers, PSSCIVE, etc.).
- Network and advocate with state and district administrations to foster interdepartmental collaborations.
- Remain updated on government schemes and programs relevant to the skill ecosystem.
- Collaborate with internal and other state teams to share learnings and practices.
- Lead meetings and deliver presentations.
- Willingness to travel within the state.
Requirements Skills Required:
- Experience in government PMU management, partnership building, public policy, monitoring, and evaluation.
- Team management experience.
- Strong research, documentation, monitoring, and program management skills.
- Proficiency in drafting proposals, strategy papers, SOPs, and making presentations.
- Excellent communication skills in English and Hindi.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft & Google tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Forms, etc.) for analytics and documentation.
- Experience managing large databases and using advanced Excel and visualization tools.
- Strong negotiation and persuasion skills, particularly with senior government officials and partners.
Experience & Qualification:
- 7-10+ years of experience implementing government schemes, private sector projects, or social enterprise initiatives.
- Experience working with senior bureaucrats and government agencies at the state or central level (preferred).
- Demonstrated interest and track record in skill development, education, and livelihood (preferred).
- Past project management experience.
- Fluency in English and Hindi.
- Experience as a Technical and managerial Consultant in the social sector with Think Tanks, Public Policy Organizations, or Social Consultancy firms (preferred).
- Participation in social sector fellowships (e.g., Gandhi Fellowship, TFI, MGNG, IAF, PMRDF) (preferred).
- Bachelors degree in any field (technical field preferred); a Postgraduate degree in the Social or Education Sector is desirable.
