ABOUT THE ROLE


Role Overview:The Life Cycle & Vendor Management Lead role responsible for overseeing and optimizing the life cycle of products or services within ETS I&Oorganization as well as managing relationships with external vendors and suppliers. This role involves strategic planning, coordination, and execution to ensure efficient operations, cost-effectiveness, and quality delivery throughout the life cycle of products or services. The role encompasses diverse responsibilities with a particular focus on vendor management, data centre maintenance, Edge and Network devices life cycle management, and resource management.


Key Responsibilities:


Life Cycle Management:


  • Develop and implement strategies for the entire life cycle of products or services, including initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, and closure phases.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as product development, marketing, sales, and customer support to ensure alignment with organizational goals and objectives.

  • Conduct regular assessments and analyses of product/service life cycles to identify opportunities for improvement, cost reduction, and optimization.

  • Implement best practices and standards for life cycle management to enhance efficiency, quality, and customer satisfaction.


Vendor Management:


  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with external vendors and suppliers, including negotiating contracts, terms, and pricing agreements.

  • Evaluate vendor performance based on predefined metrics such as quality, timeliness, cost-effectiveness, and responsiveness.

  • Monitor vendor compliance with contractual agreements, service level agreements (SLAs), and regulatory requirements.

  • Identify potential risks and issues related to vendor relationships and develop mitigation strategies to ensure continuity of supply and service delivery.

  • Collaborate with legal and procurement teams to draft and review vendor contracts, service agreements, and statements of work (SOWs).


Cost Optimization:


  • Analyze costs associated with product/service life cycles and vendor relationships to identify opportunities for cost optimization and savings.

  • Develop and implement cost reduction initiatives while maintaining quality standards and operational efficiency.

  • Conduct regular financial analyses and performance evaluations to track cost-saving initiatives and measure their impact on the organization's bottom line.


Continuous Improvement:


  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to streamline processes, enhance efficiency, and optimize resource utilization throughout the life cycle management process.

  • Foster a culture of innovation and collaboration within the organization to encourage the sharing of ideas and best practices.

  • Monitor industry trends, market dynamics, and technological advancements to identify opportunities for innovation and differentiation.


Stakeholder Communication:


  • Communicate regularly with key stakeholders, including senior management, department heads, and external vendors, to provide updates on life cycle management and vendor performance.

  • Present reports, analyses, and recommendations to stakeholders to facilitate informed decision-making and strategic planning.

  • Address any concerns or issues raised by stakeholders in a timely and effective manner, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and priorities.


Experience & Essential Skills:


  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain management, engineering, or a related field; advanced degree or professional certification (e.g., CSCP, CPIM, PMP) is preferred.

  • Proven experience in life cycle management, vendor management, or procurement, preferably in a middle management role.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.

  • Effective networker with the ability to form working relationships at different levels and with different stakeholder groups.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

  • Demonstrated negotiation skills and contract management experience.

  • Strong experience in service delivery with a focus on customer experience.

  • Proficiency in project management tools and techniques.

  • Good Understanding of budgeting and finance concepts.

  • Knowledge of relevant regulatory requirements, industry standards, and best practices.

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.

  • Resource Management: Effective resource management skills, ensuring optimal allocation and utilization.
