About Our Client
Our client is a Manufacturing giant in the chemicals industry making specialty chemicals, pigments, dyes, polymers and other products. They cater to a wide range of clients including textiles, pharmaceuticals, agriculture, foods and other industries. They are looking to hire an R&D leader for their Mumbai Global Technology Center.
Job Description
Reporting to the Directors, you will be responsible for:
- Developing R&D roadmap for development of new products, lab scaling, technology transfer and other R&D activities.
- Owning responsibilities of scientific and managerial leadership in scale-up and commercialization of new chemical and process technology
- Designing the framework of R&D strategy and provide expertise in chemistry for the entire phase of product development till commercialization
- Analyzing extensively the complex R&D challenges & significantly improve, change, or adapt novel methods, techniques & technologies
- Supervising scale up lab, product testing, and basic research laboratory facilities
- Collaborating with cross-businesses and management to deliver on goals and operations across levels
- Actively engaging in tracking technology trends in industry, review relevance vis-à-vis business needs and implement approved processes
- Leading activities of scientific project planning (Stage and gate process), milestone setting, and project success
- Managing team of scientists, consultants and other R&D personnel in terms of performance, training, development and preparing for high efficiency
The Successful Applicant
Ideally you are an R&D professional with Ph.D. in Synthetic Organic Chemistry/Textile Chemistry/colorants/Dyes with 10-15+ years of experience in Specialty chemicals, Colorants, Dyes, Pigments or Paints and deep knowledge of chemical evaluation of products & strong analytical capabilities. You have a strong Business Acumen, Negotiating & influencing skills, good communication skills, techno-commercial knowledge. You have an excellent track record and are open to new challenges. M.S/M.Tech level candidates with appropriate years of experience could also be considered.
