Position Purpose 

Job Summary

• Is responsible to plan, direct and oversee the operations and running cost of the BNL IT in ISPL Entity (100+ FTEs expected by end of 2024).
• Is responsible for overseeing and leading the work of the employees under is responsibility in strong relations with BNL IT Team leads based in Italy.
• Is responsible for planning/applying and maintaining work systems, procedures, and policies that enable and encourage the optimum performance of its people and other resources within the BNL IT  Hub Bengaluru Extension.

Key objectives

• Development of the BNL IT Hub Bengaluru Extension (100+ FTEs targeted by end of 2024) .
• Development of a competent workforce to carry out and to attain the missions and goals of the BNL IT Hub. 

Responsibilities 

Direct Responsibilities

 People management :

• Recruit skill resources according to the needs
• Provide oversight and direction to the employees
• Empower employees to take responsibility for their jobs and goals
• Ensure good team spirit and strong team commitment
• To Build the strong team of highly motivated professionals

Perform Department Management

• Manage the overall operational, budgetary and activities of the department.
• Manage and monitor internal and external suppliers
• Establish/apply and maintain relevant controls and feedback to monitor the operations of the department.
• Plan and allocate resources to effectively staff and accomplish the work to meet departmental productivity and quality goals.
• Ensure the commitment of the staff to the principles of BNL IT and ISPL Governances and Policies
• Ensure timely and accurate reporting to the BNL CIO and ITG Intl CIO for Monthly consolidated reporting

• Implement, follow & monitor a strong governance & delivery model
• Have a definite controls on Costs & Budget and Enhance level of transparency to management / Onshore
• Offshoring of new initiatives
• Be available to clients to handle to handle any kind of Issues / Escalations
• High level of contribution for Any initiatives at ISPL and at Onshore locations

Contributing Responsibilities

•  Contribute to develop BNL IT Strategy and BNL IT sourcing sourcing policy 

Technical & Behavioral Competencies 

• Team Management and communication skills
• Experience on IT off / nearshoring activities management
• Experience on IT developments / program management / Production support
• Knowledge of process improvement programs and Agile frameworks, especially Scrum
• Fluent in English, speaking and writing
• Functional expertise in the digital bank activities field could be a plus.
• Good knowledge of BNPP IT Governance framework could be a plus
