What success looks like in this role:


This role uses professional concepts in accordance with company objectives to solve highly complex problems in creative and effective ways.  This role works on complex problems where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of various factors.  This person will exercises judgment along with Technical Lead wherever necessary within broadly defined practices and policies in selecting methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results.  This person will closely work with the Digital Workplace – Messaging Lead to deliver/implement Messaging technologies such as on-premises deployment, migration to EXO from different platforms (for ex, Google Workspace).  


This position will be required to provide guidance to personnel and work directly with customers and vendors.


This position requires minimum 2 to 3 years of relevant experience and expertise in profession.


Responsibilities and Accountabilities:


  • Expert-Level in Microsoft Exchange 2016/2013 Server  and integrated technologies


  • Strong hands on experience in complex Microsoft Exchange enterprise environment


  • Expert-Level experience in Configuring and Administration of High Availability environment for Exchange Services


  • Hands-on experience with Email hygiene solutions such as EXO Advanced Protection, Cisco IronPort, Proof-Point, McAfee, MessageLabs


  • Strong experience in Enterprise vault and other archiving technologies for Exchange.


  • Responsible for working with the Messaging Lead, Unisys Technical Services Lead and/or Service delivery manager



  • Customer facing role to update the day to activities


  • Provide recommendations regarding improvement and enhancements of the technologies supporting Digital Workplace Collaboration.


  • Test, where appropriate and possible, in a production simulated laboratory environment any new Digital Workplace Collaboration technology prior to production implementation.


  • Optimize the performance of the systems environment, including reconfiguration, maintenance and/or upgrades.


  • Plan, Develop, Test, Provision, Administer and manage all Email services related systems


  • Manage and deliver both hardware and software upgrades as necessary for Digital Workplace Messaging technologies.


  • Create and maintain all documentation like Operations Handbook, Run and maintain phases of the Digital Workplace Messaging technologies.


  • Conduct hardware capacity planning and make recommendations based on future direction and needs as it relates to supporting Digital Workplace Messaging technologies.



Secondary functions:


  • Provide Tier 3 support to client’s Service Desk and Level 2 engineers as needed.


  • Have working knowledge of and keep current on Network Infrastructure Topology as it relates to Digital Workplace messaging technologies.


  • Participate in Operations, Change and Problem management meetings organized by respective support groups

You will be successful in this role if you have:


Necessary skills:


  • Expert-Level in messaging technologies such as Exchange 2013, Exchange 2016, and Office 365 Exchange Online.


  • High level understanding of Email hygiene technologies like Cisco IronPort, Proof-Point, McAfee and Message Labs



  • High level experience with SMTP relay system 


  • High-Level of understanding of Microsoft’s Productivity Software – Collaboration Suite ( MS Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive) 


  • Strong understanding of ITIL.


  • Must be able to collaborate effectively with other associates within the organization and team


  • Ability and willingness to take direction from team manager, SDM and Client Executives.


  • Able to adapt to a changing technical environment.


  • Ability to coach other members of team in their area of expertise.


  • Ability to communicate clearly with all team members and end-users.


  • Ability to work with a sense of urgency.


  • Customer facing presentation skills.


  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft PowerShell.


  • Strong knowledge of installation and renewal of SSL certificates.



Certifications / Experience / Training needed:


  • 2 to 3 years of working with Microsoft Exchange 2013/2016 and O365 Exchange Online technologies


  • 3 years of Microsoft and Networking Technical Experience


  • Proven experience in managing complex Microsoft Exchange enterprise environment Collaboration Migrations for large global enterprises


  • Solid understanding of O365 Exchange Online technologies 



  • Solid understanding of Email gateway technologies like Proof-Point, McAfee and Message Labs


  • Good Understanding of Enterprise vault and other archiving technologies 


  • Proven ability to work on large-scale global deployments in multiple locations


  • Good understanding of networks and related WAN/LAN technologies


  • Good understanding of TCP/IP and Network communications


  • 4-year degree or equivalent experience


  • Microsoft Certifications in the relevant Microsoft technologies is an added advantage
