The Director of Sales is responsible for developing and implementing sales strategies and managing their pipelines to achieve revenue targets. This role requires strong leadership skills, strategic thinking, and a deep understanding of the sales process, customer relationship management, and market trends. The Director of Sales will work closely with their VP to drive sales growth, build customer relationships, and ensure sales objectives are met.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement sales strategies: Develop and execute sales strategies, plans, and initiatives to achieve sales targets and increase market share. Analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitor activities to identify sales opportunities and develop strategies accordingly.
- Drive revenue growth: Develop and maintain relationships with key customers and partners to drive revenue growth. Identify and pursue new business opportunities, negotiate contracts, and close sales deals. Monitor sales performance, analyze sales data, and provide insights to the executive team for decision-making.
- Sales planning and forecasting: Develop sales plans and budgets, and monitor progress against targets. Provide accurate sales forecasting, pipeline management, and reporting to senior management. Review and analyze sales data and metrics to identify areas for improvement and take appropriate actions.
- Customer relationship management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, understand their needs, and provide excellent customer service. Identify customer feedback and market trends to drive product development and improvements. Act as a key point of contact between customers and the organization. Collaborate with cross-functional teams: Work closely with other departments, such as marketing, product management, and customer service, to align sales strategies with overall business objectives. Collaborate on marketing campaigns, product launches, pricing strategies, and customer retention initiatives.
Qualifications:
- 5 years + of proven experience as a sales leader, with a track record of achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth.
- In-depth knowledge of Sales techniques, customer relationship management, and market trends.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Ability to analyze sales data, forecast sales, and create sales plans.
- Strong business acumen, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience in the demand/lead generation industry (preferred).
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage time effectively.
- Willingness to travel as needed.
- Proficiency in using sales tools and software, CRM systems, and MS Office Suite.
- Legally authorized to work in the UK.
This role is based in the United Kingdom. We are not accepting international applications for this role.
Pay Range: 130,000-145,000 GBP per annum
Expected Compensation: Dependent upon Experience. Compensation offered will be determined by factors such as location, level, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Certain roles may be eligible for variable compensation.
