About Delhivery: Delhivery is a leading logistics and supply chain solutions provider with a strong presence in India and a growing international footprint. We are looking for a dynamic and experienced leader to spearhead our Air & Ocean freight business in India. This person will be responsible for managing and growing our air & ocean freight and express shipment operations.
Job Description:
Position Overview: This role will play a crucial role in Delhivery's mission to provide efficient, innovative, and reliable logistics solutions. This role involves leading and developing the air & Ocean freight business unit to ensure it meets and exceeds the company's growth and operational objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute the strategic vision for the air & ocean freight and express shipment business unit, aligned with Delhivery's overall goals.
2. Operations Management: Oversee the day-to-day operations of the air & ocean freight business, including planning, scheduling, and performance monitoring.
3. Business Growth: Drive business growth by identifying new opportunities, expanding customer portfolios, and ensuring revenue targets are met or exceeded.
4. Network Expansion: Expand and optimize the air & ocean freight and express shipment network to ensure efficient service coverage and minimize operational costs.
5. Partnerships and Alliances: Formulate and manage partnerships with airlines, shipping companies, and other relevant stakeholders to strengthen Delhivery's air & Ocean freight capabilities.
6. Customer Relationship Management: Foster strong client relationships, address customer concerns, and enhance customer satisfaction by ensuring high service standards.
7. Financial Management: Manage the budget, financial performance, and profitability of the air & ocean freight business unit.
8. Team Leadership: Build, develop, and lead a high-performance team, providing guidance, coaching, and mentorship to enhance employee skills and motivation.
9. Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that the air & ocean freight business unit adheres to all applicable industry regulations, safety standards, and compliance requirements.
10. Technology Integration: Leverage technology and innovation to improve operational efficiency, enhance customer experience, and drive continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in air & Ocean freight and express shipment operations, with a strong background in leadership and business development.
- Demonstrated success in managing and growing a business unit or division, with a proven track record of achieving revenue targets.
- Deep understanding of air & ocean freight logistics, including knowledge of international regulations and industry trends.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to establish and maintain partnerships.
- Exceptional strategic thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Financial acumen and the ability to manage budgets and achieve financial objectives.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, with an advanced degree preferred.
