About the Position
In this role, you will work within the Business Intelligence & Analytics group to support firm-wide reporting needs. A primary responsibility will be to maintain data integrity and the accuracy of key reports on an ongoing basis. You will be responsible for creating periodic analyses and reports aligned with the monthly invoice cycle. Additionally, you’ll be asked to interpret data and provide analyses based on large datasets requiring integration and transformation. An ideal candidate will be proactive and independent - working to identify and prevent sources of discrepancies, risks to data integrity, and recommending potential enhancements.
Primary Responsibilities
- Maintain and monitor alerts for data outliers in order to update source data, mapping, and make recommendations for process improvements
- Create and analyze regular reports on a weekly/monthly basis
- Validate and review key dashboards and reports on an ongoing basis to confirm accuracy and identify outliers. Identify Follow-up actions
- Identify, analyze, and interpret trends in complex data sets
- Build and maintain intuitive DOMO dashboards based on BI-best practices
- Receive and respond to requests for data / ad hoc reports
- Convert ad-hoc reporting to normalized/automated reports when the need arises
- Retrofit outdated/cumbersome existing reports
- Design and maintain Magic ETL and MySQL dataflows for sustainability, viability, and efficiency to support firm-wide reporting needs from various departments and stakeholders
- Update distribution lists and permissions for automated report recipients in DOMO
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Analytics, Computer Science, or related field
- 3+ Years experience working in an analytically focused role
- Experience working with mainstream BI tools such as DOMO, Tableau, or PowerBI
- Advanced Excel knowledge required (pivot tables, formulas, automation)
- Experience working with database administration tools such as SQL and ETL
- Hands-on experience working with relational databases/large datasets to derive insights and make recommendations
- Ability to work cross-functionally, build relationships and excel in team and cross-functional environment
- Well-developed verbal and written communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Significant experience and understanding of DOMO environment including but not limited to: card, dashboard, PDP, dataflow, built-in connectors, etc.
- Master’s degree preferred
