AddressAs Customer Request & Project Manager Operations (m/f/d), you will organize the handling of our general and Project shipments, both domestic and international.

YOUR TASKS
- Complete handling of global project shipments (OOG, Heavy Lift, conventional shipments, and container shipments) including customs clearance and interface control
- Analyze RFQ’s (Request for Quotation) from customers
- Ability to obtain competitive pricing from shipping carriers and airlines, based on RFQ’s from customer
- Develop large volume tenders and optimal solutions to ship the cargo
- Follow through on execution by transporter, shipping carrier, other vendors. etc.
- Contacting transport / rail / customs brokers etc. for purchase of services
- Collecting prices and costs to come to final purchase figures as per customer requirement
- Understanding the current prevailing rates in the market and accordingly preparing a minimum sale price to give to the sales / customer service
- Ensure complete coordination with operation/customer /finance team through effective SOP
- Implementation of won tenders/offers within our organization with commercial responsibility throughout the project
- Possibly travel activities (loading and unloading supervision, kick-off meeting etc.)
- Acceptance and, if necessary, processing of damage reports
- Invoicing of orders
- Responsibility for efficient, accurate and complete processing of (project) tenders from our customers, in-house and partner inquiries
- Telephone and written contact with customers, suppliers, shipowners, terminals, partners, and agents (also internationally)
YOUR PROFILE
- Minimum 5 years experience in Freight Forwarding Business (General and Projects)
- Degree in Supply Chain and Logistics (MBA not mandatory)
- Good knowledge of World Geography, Major Shipping Ports, Lanes etc.
- Knowledge of using the INTRA/ODEX portal
- Excellent knowledge of shipping documentation, Bills of Lading, AirWay Bills, Invoices, survey processes, insurance processes, etc
- Fluent in business English, further local languages an advantage
- Initial experience or interest in sea/land break bulk transport
- Interest in handling major international projects
- The willingness to learn new things, to get actively involved and a high degree of self-motivation
- Openness, ability to work in a team and negotiation skills
- Good Interpersonal Skills
- Good MS Office skills, knowledge of Cargosoft desirable
- Good contacts with shipping lines, Airlines, other Vendors, Owners etc.
