- Assistance in the project “Crop Area estimation and loss assessment using Remote Sensing and Geospatial technology
- Assistance in the preparation of different models for yield estimation based on environmental factors
- Sharing information regarding different models and statistical tools used for forecasting the pests and diseases.
- Assistance in project execution and project managementinformation and results as per the project requirements
- To develop weather-based effective farm operation & to study crop weather relationship in all major crops and forecast yield
- To develop weather-based agro advisories to sustain crop production by utilizing various weather forecasts and climatic forecasts
- To develop crop growth simulation model for assessing/obtaining potential yield in various agro-climatic zones of the Gujarat state
- To monitor droughts on crop wise as well as area wise for effective drought management & to prepare crop weather calendars for ease of farmers
- To delineate the agro-climatic zone for defining agro climatic analogues so as to make an effective and fast transfer of technology for sustainable development of agriculture
