BI Support Engineer will play a crucial role as a member of the Corporate Data & Analytics team (CDA) within DORT (Data & Operational Resilience Technology). We are a team highly focused on delivering user-centric technology solutions with a passion for data analytics at the heart of everything we do. This is an exciting opportunity to fill a role with a responsibility for driving a critical area of technology in the organization. The role will report to CDA BI Manager and work closely with other members of the BI team and well as with other teams within DORT. The role responsibilities will include:
- Support of the Corporate Technology portfolio of business intelligence applications with focus on Tableau and Alteryx
- Tableau and Alteryx platform administration including management of users, content, security, and licenses
- Technical support resolving application errors, responding to user tickets and queries, working on issues with vendor tech support
- Driving service improvement by identifying and implementing ways to streamline BI support
- Developing objects and data flows to support DORT BI projects
- Creating and maintaining documentation for technical and end-user audiences
- Facilitating adoption of BI tools and good practices
- Playing active part in BI user groups and community events
- Collaborating with technology teams on infrastructure improvement, integration, compliance, and resilience
- Engaging with business teams across the organization on BI projects and initiatives
- Alignment with practices of CDA Business Intelligence Centre of Excellence
The candidate for the role should have the following skills and capabilities:
- Five or more years of work experience
- Good understanding of Business Intelligence and Data Warehousing concepts and practices
- Skills in Tableau and Alteryx
- Proficiency in SQL
- Experience with technical support and platform administration
- Analytical skills and proactive approach to problem solving
- Ability to manage full workload and multiple workstreams
- Positive and collaborative work attitude
- Good communication skills
- Familiarity with the following is a plus: Power BI and MS Power platform, Pyramid Analytics, SAP Business Objects, Collibra
- Experience with scripting and administration tasks automation is a plus
