Role Description & Responsibilities
- Carry out day-to-day financial accounting activities, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
- Carry out statutory transaction and payroll taxation computation, payments and reporting.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP standards in collaboration and in liaison with an appointment financial accountant.
- Conduct variance analysis and provide explanations for financial performance to management.
- Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes to support financial planning and decisionmaking.
- Coordinate with external auditors during the annual audit process and work diligently to address audit findings or inquiries.
- Develop and maintain identified internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Design & implement processes to capture data for resource allocations, utilization, contracts, billing milestones, track project cost and profitability.
- Analyze Business Operations data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline processes and optimize resource allocation.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and prepare reports to track business performance against targets.
- Support management in ad hoc financial analysis and special projects as needed.
Required Skills, Experience & Qualities
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CA or relevant professional certification preferred.
- 3-5 years of experience in financial accounting and reporting, preferably in the technology industry.
- Understanding of GAAP principles and financial analysis techniques. Knowledge of accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Zoho, Tally) and high degree of proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and generate actionable insights.
- Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy in financial reporting and analysis.
- Effective communication skills with the ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively in a team environment.
- Experience with Business Operations tracking and control is a plus
