• MSS NFR Office is a function that sits within the Markets and Securities Services (MSS) area of HSBC. MSS NFR Office helps the business to manage and control existing non-financial and new / emerging risks in the business, including but not limited to financial, non-financial, conduct and product lifecycle risks. MSS Risk Specialism & Supervision Office sits within the central MSS NFR office and is a group of cross-asset risk specialists providing SMEs and central risk and control oversight on key non-financial risks including Financial Crime Risk, Third Party Risk, Information Risk, E-Trading & Model Risk as well as Front Office Supervision.

What you’ll do:

Responsible For:

• Understanding and managing the non-financial risk framework aligned to one or more risks within the pillar.
• Lead specific projects related to these risk topics as directed.
• Support the global team on embedding all BAU aspects of the framework associated with their risks and work on design of the framework, with the Regional and Asset Class lead NFR teams, and key stakeholders (in particular in Compliance and Risk in 2LOD) in supporting and where necessary leading, the enhancement of controls and best practice within MSS.
• Responsible for maintenance and control of items into Helios, the Group’s Operational Risk management tool including annual Risk and Control Assessments, Issue and Actions, Incident/losses, Internal Control Monitoring Plans.
• Cater to various standard and adhoc reports/meeting packs/updates/ at the request of global team. Work closely with the Risk Specialist Lead to ensure all issues/actions, risks and controls are captured and managed in line with non-financial risk framework.
• Responsible for creating governance packs for global meetings, minute taking and following up on issue and actions with the Regional & Asset Class NFR teams.

Customers / Stakeholders

• MSS Risk Specialists, Regional and Asset Class COOs and NFR Teams, 2LOD Risk Stewards and 3LOD Internal Audit.

Leadership & Teamwork

• Responsible for ensuring seamless communication and teamwork between Control resources in Onshore locations and counterpart resources in Bangalore.
• Builds strong relationships with counterpart resources in Onshore locations.
