Application Hosting sits within the Hosting Services Team of the Aladdin Engineering organization. It is responsible for -

• Engineering the next generation Cloud-Native Platform to host applications in Kubernetes clusters.
• Engineering the orchestration platform that deploys and monitors applications On-premises and On-cloud.
• Engineering the Web Technology Infrastructure that powers Aladdin's Web and API Products.
• Provisioning Edge Routing, Load Balancing, Security, and Caching services for our Internet-Facing applications & websites.

• Engineer and maintain solution to build & operate Kubernetes clusters at scale.
• Engineer and maintain solution to model and orchestrate applications on Kubernetes clusters.
• Provision Edge Routing, Security, and Caching services for Internet-facing applications.
• Provide infrastructure support to troubleshoot incidents affecting applications & services hosted in Kubernetes clusters, in partnership with infrastructure teams & vendors.
• Use and configure industry-standard Observability tools like AppDynamics, Grafana, and Splunk for monitoring and troubleshooting applications & services.
• Innovate by creating automation solutions to enhance operational efficiency and scale of our technology workstreams and team processes.
• Work as part of a multi-disciplinary agile team to engineer solutions to scale and operate cloud-native web applications in collaboration with developers and stakeholder groups.
• Cover APAC hours, which translates to a shift of 6:30 AM to 3:30 PM.
• On call support on rotational basis on weekends.

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field.
• 3 to 4 years of experience of systems engineering, preferably in a similar role.

• 2+ years experience of working on Kubernetes Platform and programming with Python and GoLang.
• Familiarity with concepts of networking and containerization like Edge Routing, DNS, Container Registry, Ingress Controllers, Load Balancers, Firewalls, Content Delivery Network, SSL, Web Application Firewall.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure or another cloud platform.
• Hands-on experience with Terraforms.
• Practical knowledge of a Linux environment with basic system administration skills.

• Working knowledge of automated configuration management tools, like Ansible.
• Understanding of Agile software engineering environments, including knowledge of GIT and CI/CD.

Exposure to Akamai products & services like Content Delivery Network, Web Application Firewall
